Join leading standards, architecture and health informatics experts at the Fall 2010 Infoway Partnership Conference, November 15-17, 2010, at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia. Education Tutorials are also being offered immediately after the Conference, as an added convenience to Conference attendees.
The Conference theme, Interoperability - Realizing Implementation Benefits, will be explored with a variety of hot topics.
An exciting program is planned focusing on two main Conference tracks:
Integration
This track will explore:
- Integrating clinical systems – leveraging real world experiences, this session explores the challenges of integrating hospital, pharmacy and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to an interoperable electronic health record (EHR) network
- Achieving Infoway Certification Status – TELUS will share their insights and lessons learned in gaining certification status for TELUS health space™
- Infoway tools for integrating the pan-Canadian standards – provides an overview of some exciting new tools that help to facilitate integration activities
- Leveraging health care information to improve Health System Use - examines the strategic role health system data will play in enhancing clinical decision making at the point of care
Implementation
This track will explore:
- Use of terminology
- Implementing pan-Canadian standards - challenges, successes, and lessons learned
- Realizing implementation benefits
The Infoway Partnership Conference is the place to learn and share experiences about real world standards and architecture-based solutions in clinical practice and EHR deployment. It is also the principal meeting venue for the Standards Collaborative Working Groups (SCWGs) and the Standards Development Organization (SDO) Canadian Constituencies.

Fall 2010 Standards Collaborative Education Tutorials will be offered November 18-19, immediately following the Conference. Take advantage of this convenient opportunity to increase your knowledge of HL7 v3 and SNOMED CT - even write HL7 certification exams - all from the same conference venue.
Pan-Canadian focused tutorials are taught by leading experts in the field, feature practical real world examples in addition to core concepts and are well suited to:
- business and project management professionals
- technical implementers looking to increase their familiarity and understanding of HL7 V3 messaging, HL7 V3 implementation and terminology-specifically SNOMED CT
- those seeking an introduction to SNOMED CT & HL7 V3
- students in the health informatics field
We also offer a tutorial appropriate for individuals preparing for the HL7 V3 RIM Certification Exam.
